INTRODUCTION Speaking of the Pastorals, Dunn (1975: 349) states: Clearly then the vision of charismatic community has faded, ministry and authority have become the prerogative of the few, the experience of the Christ-Spirit has lost its vitality, the preservation of the past has become more important than openness to the present and future.
